A Contract agreement has been signed between the Ethiopian Roads Authority by a Representative Head of Director Ato. Sisay Bekele and ASER Construction Plc by General Manager Ato. Yemane Abreha for Interconnecting Central Ethiopia Oromia Region Eastern Shoa Zone Bishoftu City from Mogo-to-Hawassa Main Road and from Addis Ababa-to-Adama High Way Road and for Connecting Dire-Koka-Adulala Cities of covering 52.2 Km with a value of 613,165,000 Birr (Six hundred and Thirteen Million One hundred and Sixty five thousand Birr). According to the plan 39.7Km will be Asphalt and the rest 12.5Km will be covered with Concrete. The agreement states that the road will have a 10m and 7m wider pedestrian walkways for the urban side and for the rural side respectively.

As of the Contract agreement the Road Project is scheduled to end within Two Years and the winning Construction Company assured that it has done enough preparation to begin the Project. The Ethiopian Government will be the Financer of this Road Project and will be very advantageous as it saves Foreign Exchange Rate by increasing Local Contractors participation and their potential in return.
